John Vance

As the outreach and instruction librarian in a large academic library, I depend greatly on the responsiveness of our Systems tech support team, and I feel John has been a tremendous asset to that department during his time at Morris Library. He has a friendly and service-oriented disposition, has highly effective communication skills, and he works quickly and efficiently, especially when managing the on-call demands of faculty like myself, who might have technical issues during an online teaching session, problems with equipment in a smart classroom, or some other instance that would require a rapid solution. John is professional, works well under pressure, and inspires confidence with his willingness to step back and consult his superiors when he doesn't have the solution. I recommend him highly, and it is satisfying to do so because he has earned it.
